The MacArthur Institute

Rebuilding the
foundations of America
upon the original intent
of the founding fathers.

STATEMENT OF BELIEF AND PURPOSE

The MacArthur Institute, a nonprofit, nonpolitical, educational entity was founded and is directed by James R. Patrick. Through its course of study and publications, it is seeking to rebuild the foundations of America upon the original intent of the Founding Fathers. Because we firmly believe in the principles that gave birth to America, we publish and teach, without apology, the concepts of Biblical law, limited constitutional government, the right of private property, freedom of speech, conscience, press, and free enterprise system.

AS A PRIVATE EDUCATIONAL ENTITY, WE DO NOT WANT, NOR DO WE BELIEVE THAT GOVERNMENT SHOULD SUPPORT, SPONSOR, OR CONTROL ANY OF THE PRIVATE, EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS OF AMERICA; NOR DO WE BELIEVE THAT ANY PRIVATE, EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION SHOULD SEEK TAX DOLLARS TO BENEFIT THEIR PROGRAMS.

PLAN OF ACTION

In an effort to rebuild the foundations of America upon the original intent of the Founding Fathers, we shall endeavor to implement a fourfold program that will acquaint our readers or students with original source documents that will increase their understanding of the founding era. In addition, we will further study and compare the progress of American history in light of those basic principles that were laid down during that era of American history. We fully understand that it was those foundational principles that gave birth to the freedom and prosperity that we have so long enjoyed. Understanding this great truth, we shall seek to rebuild the philosophy of freedom upon the original intent of the Founding Fathers.

PHASE #1 - PRINTING AND PUBLISHING

Through the printed word, we shall spread the freedom philosophy by the printing of books and literature. Our by-monthly publication, Foundations of Liberty is especially designed for use in the classroom setting. Each booklet is prepared with a teacher's guide that you may purchase to help the reader/teacher/student to better understand the philosophy of freedom. The Foundations of Liberty are a wonderful supplement for any history, government, economics, or literature class.

In addition, full length books, articles, and speeches shall be placed back into print so that those people who are truly interested in American history will not only be able to read of great Americans, but will also have the opportunity to read and study their actual words and writings so as to fully understand their contributions to our nation's development and struggles to gain freedom and prosperity..

PHASE #2 - CORRESPONDENCE AND COMPUTER COURSES

For the student who wishes to study at home.

PHASE #3 - EXTENDED SUMMER COURSES AND BRIEF SEMINARS

For teachers and administrators who wish to better understand the foundational principles of our limited Constitutional republic.

This phase will also include nationally known speakers to help promote a better understanding of the freedom philosophy.

PHASE #4 - A TWO-YEAR COURSE OF STUDY

For those who wish an in-depth study of the freedom philosophy.

The MacArthur Institute is not competing for volume. The value and success of an educational institution is not determined by the number of students enrolled, but by the character producing principles that are taught and imparted into the hearts and lives of its students.

We are seeking those students who would desire a better understanding of America's Christian heritage and her freedom philosophy. If you are an individual who loves freedom, you will find the MacArthur Institute to be a unique institution that will provide a sense of direction to a world that is wandering in a state of confusion.

THE MAC ARTHUR INSTITUTE IS AN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION WITH A PURPOSE AND A PHILOSOPHY THAT WELL RESTORE THE BASIC CONCEPTS OF FREEDOM
